moderately loudly, on a bass drum instead of spoken.)

Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Thudding great noises fill the air!
Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Banging on bass drum and on snare!
Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Great cymbal crashes everywhere!
And there's no silence in the
night! Two! Three! Four!

Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Tympani rolls, and tom-toms too!
Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Echo on the field, loud and true!
Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Are heard as far as Timbuktu!
And there's no silence in the
night! Two! Three! Four!

Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Incessant rhythm, on and on!
Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Oh I'll be happy when they've gone!
Drums! Boom! Drums! Boom!
Just how much longer will they go on?
And there's no silence in the night!!
