Band Parent POEM

CORNETS

They look so much like one another.
Cornets and trumpets might be brothers.
They're held alike, they're played the same,
Is all the difference in the name?
Yes, cornets as we all well know,
Are trumpet-like, they differ though!
Their bore is conical you see,
Their wrap more round, they blow more free.
Their sound more warm, their edge less bright,
I like them more, they just seem right.
